Week 2, January 2010

Oh My Goodness.. lets just say I am posting this earlier than I normally would because this week is already off to a show stopper.
What do the following items have in common?

Have any ideas yet?

These were all very important items we needed while at the Emergency Room (1st time) on Saturday getting stitches. Not sure if you guessed that or not, but if you already heard the story you probably guessed. Jackson did such a great job at the ER. He didn't cry once while they were putting a needle and thread through his head.. mostly because Daddy was amusing him with that blue glove you see above... not to mention they had a very creative swaddle they put him in so he literally couldn't move. I think this is just more practice for my "freak-out mom" skills. I didn't even cry at the hospital...but it helped that he was so calm. And one more thing, the nurse called him a call? Seriously!!
And then we have Westyn.. he was just toted around through the whole ordeal. He obviously has no idea what is going on for the most part could care less.
Needless to say, we have already had a busy week and I don't believe I have recovered from last week. Welcome 2010.. make yourself known. Despite the craziness, we are still very blessed to have what we have and very happy that both of our boys are happy and healthy.. but they are a handful that is for sure.

What a big boy! I can't even imagine having to get stitches in James..YIKES!

And kudos to you and losing weight! I know it can be tought...Byron has been working on that too and it has been hard with his traveling. I have found some great recipes that are low cal and quite tasty if you are interested. They are easy to make and they are even great for kids. Also, if you watch the Biggest Loser, chew gum! It will curve your sweet tooth and it is only 5 calories!! Plus, drink lots of water...your brain can't tell if you are hungry or thirsty, so, if you know it is not meal time try drinking water to curve your appetite until it is time to eat! Ok...enough advice. I'm sure you have heard it all before, but I will send you the recipes if you would like. Just let me know!
